Ebb & Flow

Ebb and Flow is a collection that explores the diverse landscape along the Potomac River and its runs in Virginia. It examines the contrasts in the landscape through a series of juxtapositions: sweeping landscapes vs. minute details, calm vs. chaos, and light vs. dark. The series was inspired by a daily commute over the Potomac River via the Chain Bridge, and celebrates the exploration of the wild spaces that have been preserved in a largely urbanized environment. Shot on Kodak Tri-X 400 film, developed, and printed in the darkroom by Lily.
